Thematic theme days of the summer school
Monday Day 1 | Scenic cycling will focus on the ways of making a cycling experience memorable and joyful on the way from A to B in rural areas. In addition to our keynote by Johannes Schöning from The University of Bremen on scenic cycling we will go on a scenic cycling tour around the “Zwischenahner Meer” a beautiful lake in the Oldenburg area. |
Tuesday Day 2 | Urban cycling will explore the cycling experience in the city, challenges of effective commuting and navigation through a city, and opportunities of increasing safety through interaction with other road users. |
Wednesday Day 3 | Accessible cycling will explore new ways of making cycling possible for people with health restrictions. We are happy to have Benjamin Tannert from the University of Bremen and Torben Bröer as a tandem keynote for this theme. Torben Bröer was participating with his hand bike in the Paralympics in Bejing 2008. |
